Lego Star Wars Sith Trooper Battle Pack Review (75266)

Yeah i’m doing a Lego review because it’s something i’m really passionate about but don’t really talk about it too much. This set cost £13 in the UK however i got a deal with 2 for £15 when i bought this set.

Minifigures

The main draw for Star Wars battle packs is the figures and this set has 4 of them, 2 Sith Jet Troopers, a Sith Trooper and an officer. I really like these figures i think they’re very detailed and i absolutely love the red colouring of them. The officer is a nice enough addition but i’d rather have another sith trooper or replace a jet trooper with a normal trooper. The biggest issue i have with all of the troopers is that they all have the same face which while covered up does make them look a bit generic underneath and does a bring them down a bit. However all in all i really love the troopers here and the officer is a fairly solid inclusion but i’m not a huge fan.

Accessories

All the minifigures come with stud shooters which are weapons that fire out studs. I don’t particularly love these but they are also kinda fun to use and shoot. Because there’s 4 figures there’s 4 stud shooters and one can clip to the front of the vehicle which is really nice. The jetpack troopers come with their own accessory which is the jetpack consisting of 2 pieces the pack itself and a small plate to connect to the stud on it. I really like this jetpack it fits the design of the armour really well. All in all i like the accessories here but i do wish it came with some normal star wars blasters just so it works more for displaying.

The Build

This set features one build which is a Speeder that can easily fit 2 of the figures sitting and 1 standing up at the front. It has a really nice blue colouring to it which i like and surprising works really well with the red of the sith troopers. It is a very plain build though which is a little bit disappointing it looks very much like a star wars vehicle but nothing more than that and besides the stud shooter it doesn’t have any other features to it really outside of moving it around. I can excuse this for the price though as Lego sets that have more features cost more and obviously the main draw is the figures. There is a small complaint i do have about this build and that is that there are 2 pieces on the bottom of the speeder that do fall off in moving it which really annoys me but all other times it’s ok. I do wish this set did have a very small side build for a command post or something similar as it would make the set feel much bigger.

Ease of Building and Other Notes

For me this set was really easy to build and as such wasn’t very complicated to do outside of trying to find the pieces to put on the speeder but because it was so easy to build i think customising this to your own liking would be very easy to do as well. Because i have 2 of these sets i did try and make something with a lot of the pieces included in the set which ended up being a ship which i really enjoyed building more than the main build actually.

Conclusion

All in all this is a solid Lego set and something i would recommend fans of Lego star wars to buy though i think the other 2020 battle pack is probably more for me as it solves a few of the issues this has like having a side build to it and not having an officer like figure to it. However this is still something i liked and having a sith trooper figure is still going to make me happy because i really like their design. It is also a good set to make more than just the thing on the box with.
